Daryl is talking about ghost flames on Tweety. Faint pearl or silver mist. Maybe even an orange mist.
I'm not a big fan of pearl because of the way it fades, but it would sure look good against that yellow paint.
He's going monochrome yellow on the hood, front bumper and grill too so I think the flames would be bitchin' no matter what color he chooses, but I'm voting silver mist myself.
Any other suggestions or opinions.
What do you think?

Flames should be red, but since he's going the subtle route how about a copper mist or something similar to the color of the interior?

I like the clear Satin flames but wonder if they wouldnt dissapear under the gloss clear coat that would go voer the flames to blend them in .

I think ghost flames are a fad that will soon have run it's course, much like the pastels and graphics of 20 years ago.

Flames are pretty common anymore - Ghost Flames were around in the 70s so therefore kind of traditional or at least period correct for a 60s vehicle.
I always like a "different twist" on a theme myself - make the old new again.
I kinda like the copper idea - just don't go too bright with the color keep the choice subtle. Perhaps just shade the outline very lightly with the copper and pearl the whole area?
As much as I like the satin - flat thing I don't think I would mix them with a color.
I considered black satin flames on my gloss black bike - may have been able to make that work.
Harley sold a "custom paint" tank and fender set a few years ago - was black with flames thin shaded edged only in metallic red - Very cool looking.
May be able to pull the same thing off on the yellow with the right accent color. and the pearled clear.
This isn't the exact paint job I was talking about (couldn't find a pic) but similar in concept.

Flames never go out of style, but then I'm a flame man. I would flame all my vehicles if possible. I love a good set of ghost flames. Since Tweety is yellow I would go with a yellow pearl or a pale orange mist. FLAMES FOREVER!

To bad there isn't an emoticon for dripping with sarcasm. 8)
JC, you old hoser, tell me how you really feel. There are NO Brand X powered Slicks in my part of the country.... at least as far as I know.
I'm good with flames as long as they're "SUBTLE"
Besides, it ain't my truck and it ain't my money don't you know.
I'll take a picture of the trial effort he's going to put on an extra door and reserve judgement until I see the finished product. :D
Merry Christmas everybody.

Nice country you have there; quite small, evidently, but nice :P . Those blinders might cause you to miss some great correct-powered examples, Ah, NM, everytime I spot one, you already know of it
JK, Merry Christmas

Love flames. This is the custom paint job I had done on my Harley a while back.

Personally, I'd like to see him get a sign painter and put, in small block letters:
Tweety Bird and Sons
Pest Control

on the doors.

I'm actually thinking about doing that same thing on Nadine after I get her re-painted monochrome white.
City of Pearland, Texas (we're land locked)
Beach Patrol
I am putting my old surf boards in the back of the bed.
