blasted thru the 2 foot snowdrift 3/4 of the way down the driveway and went to town yesterday, got a thumbs up gesture from a guy we passed near town.
need to drag the big curved piece of steel down the drive again today and clean up that drift.

I'll probably be driving it some when the doc turns me lose. Cheaper to drive it than my 99 super duty Diesel 4x4. It don't go out unless I'm making money with it :P .

Iceman,I don't think I 've seen one or maybe two original 61-66 4x4 around here since I've been messing with these old trucks. Always wanted a 66 styleside long or shortbed 4x4.

mine is not original but has correct bed for the year
has a 63 cab/bed on a 66 frame with the 292 y block engine
bought the 66 4x4 wrecked and put the cab/bed and engine in.
styleside matching beds were only offered on 66 f100 4x4s
all others had the 57-60 or flareside bed.

This spring I bought a new inter-state battery for my 91 civic, shortly afterwards I sold the civic and kept the battery.Put it in the 66 c/c and all was well until this morning, way to cold for that little thing.Shoveled out the one ton ,took out the big boy inter-state,stuck it in the c/c and off to work I went.I'll drive it tomorrow, the next day and the next day etc.etc.

Yep
Snow packed roads to check on the water wells for my job
Into town to pick up parts
Over some more snow roads to check on a called in leak (water again)
Probably 75 miles today... Probably 50 miles locked into 4x4
Load it up with tools Again tomorrow to fix the leak
It goes where I point it , starts instantly at 10*, heater works decent
And people get the heck out of my way

I got to drive the 64 a few weeks ago when it came to the new garage.
It was being pulled by a Silverado 4x4 but I still got to drive it.
Actually the first time since I took it apart in April of 2010.

Yes! The GF and I took a LONG ride in the country on New Years day. I'm very happy she enjoys it so she doesn't have to stay home....like my ex-wife did.

By the way...no snow, salt, or drifts here. Just sand. We rode with the windows down all day.

Nope, 10"+ of snow on the ground by the garage. Roads clear though. Pretty much sitting until March. Plan on lifting the cab off riping out the floors the PO put in and welding in the correct floors and throwing in the top loader over winter.

Way too much salt on our streets. I wanted to take it out the night it snowed, before the salt was put down, but that didn't happen. For now it will be inside until the Spring rains. I saw a nice red 64 4x4 near my house before it snowed, but haven't seen it since.

The Snow Has Melted & It's Supposed To Be In The Mid 60's On Friday So I'm Definitely Going To Go For A Drive. It's Nice Today Also, Unfortunately I Have To Go Renew My Drivers License Which Is Set To Expire On My Birthday.....
