I know it isn't much, but I'm still making progress on the flair side changeover. I got incredibly, Max Liepins lucky and scored a brand new stainless steel rear bumper WITH the brackets from a 53-56 Effie for $200.00 not to long ago.
However comma, it turns out that the Effie frames are about 7/8" wider on the outside than our trucks. So, I JB Welded three large 1/2" washers together for spacers (3/8ths + on each side) and it fits like the proverbial glove. I guess I should take a picture, and after all, it is only a bumper.
I'm like Hannibal Smith. I love when a plan comes together.
Hey, paint anticipation is killing me. I have to take what I can get.

Max approves of this form of luckiness if said person of luckiness is happy with final outcome.
