Well, my ship finally came in...

Well, not really a ship, but a boat.

And it didn't come in willingly had to be drug in.
Belongs to my friend Whitney. Storing it for him as partial payment for helping me move my shop, trucks, electrical work (in the past and in the future), etc, etc. He needed it out of his back yard 1) to get his wife off his back and 2) so he would have room to build a small garage/shop.
V-Drive with a Chrysler inboard (440 I'm thinking). Hasn't been in the water in 20 years. No real reason to keep it, but we all know how that is. Had to borrow wheels/tires to get it over here. 14" car wheels it seems.
Fit's right in with the Slick line-up.

Pictures lie. Not that good looking in person. Inside is stripped. Would probably not be worth it to refurbish, but not sure. Not a boat person at all.

Alan: You know how much we Yanks (especially we Southern Yanks) enjoy a challenge. Inflated tires are for amateurs. We did put inflated tires on it to move it, but those had to go back and these will only hold air for about 5 minutes. He didn't want to invest in more tires at this point. Best we can figure is that the wheels are 14" car wheels and used 14" tires are difficult to find and are pretty pricey.

Max: Short answer NO! Decent size boat, small lake. Only person-powered or electric power allowed. Anywho, this is strictly a storage situation to help out a friend. Boat hasn't been in the water in at least 20 years, and was taken out because of a mechanical issue involving the hydraulic system(s) for the trim tabs(?). No real reason the engine shouldn't run but that's not on the current agenda. He's had offers to sell it before it deteriorated, but like some of us hoarders declined. Second thoughts now.

If the gel coat and stringers are in good condition, a Century of that vintage is worth saving (may not be for you, but someone would want it). Be cool as hell with a marine 460 in it.
