Cruisin' the Coast on the Mississippi Gulf Coast just surpassed 3000 registrations. At this rate, a new record of official participants is likely. Accommodations are becoming hard to find, so if you're going, you better get moving!

Up to 4200 registrations today!!! This is going to be a BIG party, considering there will be many, many times that amount of attendees and cruisers.

Good to hear Paul. Looks like I'm actually going to make it this year...for a couple of days only.

My buddy Whitney and I plan to drive down on Thursday morning, stay Thursday and Friday night and return home on Saturday.

My wife has a bunch of events that week so she wasn't able to go. She likes to sit on the beach while I look at the cars/trucks.

I know how that goes! I can't believe Connie actually agreed to Slickstock, although our whirlwind adventure (No Dorothy, it ain't Kansas yet!); left us too tired to join the night shift or much else! The beach is probably a good location; looks as if we're headed for a record, and it's been approaching gridlock along Beach Blvd in past years!

Fingers crossed that my trip is still on. My buddy was in Destin this week and he's supposed to find us a place to stay around Gulfport on his way back. But, you know how flaky those Chevy guys can be

Yeah, with that many people, rooms are going to be rare and expensive. Looks as if we'll do one night and head home this year!

Paul. I'm not going to Slickstock next year but I am going to Crusin' the Coast. We need to develop a plan and get the rooms reserved about six months in advance. Lets talk.

Got the answers, but they involve a good pair of binoculars, a great zoom camera; oh, and plenty of margaritas .
As to the other part of the statement; just remember Alan, Lyn, Lyman, JC, Dean, Mark, Mike, and others! Trucks are NOT required, and you know you've got a ride!

After our first visit to Crusin' the Coast, my wife and I had such a great time that we reserved a three bedroom house in January (as early as we could reserve it) for the next year. Much cheaper than the motel room and it was just a block off the main drag and had plenty of parking for cars, trucks and trailers. Had to bail when we found our new house and were moving during that time, but if finances permit hope to be back in full force for the 2014 gathering.

Unless the rentals come complete with slot machines; they won't pass muster with my CFO! It'll be the "Beau" or the Nugget again for us. BR has really gone out of their way to accomodate and provide secure parking for "cruisers". Nice to sit at your window and observe the passing attractions while having you vehicles in the same field of vision. Not to mention the "cold ones" readily at hand!
