Anyone used Bronco fuel tank ( not II )

Post by Malibusurfer »

Curious if anyone has used a full size Bronco fuel tank.. Have access to a "parting out" 84 full size Bronco. Curious if anyone has fit a tank into their slick.... I want to get tank out of cab of my 62 uni.. Would it fit??? 25 gal?? 33 gal???

Just had mine out while next to the slick collection. First noticable item was the extreme depth of the 33 gallon tank. I made no further measurements after that. My main thought was the advantage of the f.I. pump and return port. One of the earlier f.I. smaller tanks might work well for a stock height application.

I have the 26 gal version in both of my trucks and it is a great tank. I never did the bigger tank because I really didn't want to pay to fill it.. Plus I wasn't sure how low it would hang due to the height.

When I looked at your title again it clicked. I have the bronco II tank not the bronco tanks. Sorry about your title had it there I just didn't see it. If you want I can still show you some pics of the tank install.

I am looking at this same option, when I started my extented cab build I built a tank from 14 guage metal based on design of 78 f150 narrowed and deeper. The aftermarket sending unit has already died and the company that made it is out of business (surprise) and the bronco tank looks alot like what I built. I put filler door in side of bed, from 78, and put a c notch on top of frame for more hose clearence. I am looking for 25.5 tank, 12 3/4" deep, the 33 gallon is 15 3/4 deep. No way to take photos
