Interchangeability of parts

My parts donor pickup is a '64 f 100 2 wheel drive long wheel base pickup with a 292 Y-block 3 speed manual transmission. The project pickup is my '63 f 100 short wheel base uni-body missing the original 292 Y-block and 3 speed manual transmission and drive shaft. The '64 has two drive shafts with a frame mounted hanger bearing, what was the original set up in the '63 when new? One drive shaft or two? Thanks in advance for the help I'm about to receive. Knud

I think the short beds were single drive shafts. I've never seen a two piece except on 8' beds and longer.

Mine is a 63 short wrongbed with the 3 speed and it has the single driveshaft.

My 63 has the single. If you have to build a driveshaft, the yokes might be useful, so I would take them.

My '62 longbed uni has a single driveshaft.

You should have grabbed the driveshaft from that 62 you got the bed from.
I'd have given it to you too - it got pitched into scrap run. 
It actually depends on what slip joint you use too.
Doesn't the 3 speed have a yoke on the output shaft?
If so you will need a slip joint in the driveshaft too.
My LWB Uni didn't have a carrier bearing from Ford - I used one though (parts truck had it).
