Is it any good, it says no primer needed, whats better for the price if any. 109 shipped on eveilbay

I have not used it but I talked to a paint supply company a few weeks ago and they recommended it. They say it works well and the cost is less than por 15 because you don't need all the cleaners that por requires

If that's the price for a gallon, looks like a good deal. I've used Rust Seal for years with great success. The one thing that I've run into is that once opened any of these paints have limited shelf life. A gallon would be enough to paint many frames and you might end up throwing most of it away once it skims over. I've started buying more smaller cans. Cost more initially but I don't end up throwing away a half full can because its hardened in the can after opening.

Haven't head any complaints about it.

I hear about guys filling unused portions with inert gas like argon from the welder. I wonder if that really works.

I used it on my trailer frame and it works great. It needs to be coated because it's not UV protected. My trailer has been sitting out for about 5 or 6 years and the chassis black paint is starting to get thin because I didn't topcoat it. I would recommend it. If you have any left be sure to put Saran Wrap between the lid and can or you'll never get that lid off again because the paint reacts with metal.

I have used both and I prefer POR15. it is thicker and you can use it with fiberglass matt with a bottom and top coat. if you only use it to paint your frame the chasis saver is okay and flows on well IMO.

I ordered the paint today from JB tool website and I found the paint cheaper there also ordered a couple other things ( 2 cans spray engine enamel and 2 rolls masking tape) and got my order over 100$ and got free shipping and found a coupon for 5% off and it was 103$ total. Tom

looks like a winner to me. I used the eastwood stuff and was pretty happy with it, but I was ordering some other things so i just went with their stuff

The Chassis Saver works great, but for my most recent projects I have used the mastercoat system their primer really seems to make a good seal. www.masterseriescoatings.com.
