Anybody catch "Hard Shine" last night? they rebuilt Jimmy's famous pickup. this is the "Before pic"

Now, THAT guy knows how to build a hot rod. Blown Flathead and all, and did it sound SWEEET

Yeah, I would love to build something like that. Got to say it sits just a bit low for my taste. Love the fact that he used, and staying with, a flathead.

On the other hand I am a little disapointed with Boyd on American Hot Rod for getting rid of sugar pants already.

I also see they are building a "Brick" on CCR.

Which Boyd...Mr. or Mrs.???

Yeah it's all over the Brickin forums and mailing list. But, the Cable co already gets wayyy too much of my money to watch 2 hrs of TV a month. I can't justify forking out another pile to get up to the Speed channel level, so I will just have to wait for the DVD's of the show I guess.

Sinc it was Mrs who had the claws out. That girl had one nice Camaro, too.

I saw the show last night, and gotta say that the snap-in canvas interior has to be one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Wouldn't work in any application, but sure works in his.

Yeah I watched Boyd right after. They were building a shiny '32 with a brand X engine, that after seeing Jimmy's truck would make you want to spit on Boyd's and push it off a cliff.

I watch Hard Shine religiously, he thinks pretty much just like I do in this vein. I was actually afraid he would paint the truck. It is perfect now, not different just perfect. I would love to see in in person and Hear It!

I hated to see him change the truck. I liked it like it was... But, the changes planed are cool to. I love the way those old flatties sound.

I liked it before also but understand what he wants to do to "complete it". it's not my style but hey, I even like looking at really clean well done cheeby.

Boyd's show is still on tv?

BTW, did you guys see those pics of him and the TLC crew that tore up the salt flats with their big rigs?

The truck is awesome but remember, anyone can build anything with MONEY. All those shows with those badass cars is because they have MONEY to do this. I bet all of you guys on here can build an awesome hot rod and have very good idea's and be different if you had the money to do it and a TV show to film it and give you money to do it and the best tools they have to offer.
Either way the truck is nice and I love Flathead motors, especially with a blower on them. Nothing sounds as good as an inline 6 or a flathead with nice cam and exhaust.

I cant believe the carry on on AHR,dawayne or what ever his name is should get the bullet for wasting our viewing time,and there seems to be alot of work not shown that is of more interest than pulling pranks. doesn`t everybody love flatheads, this is one I built over a seven year period.

That is a very nice hot rod and flathead. I can't wait to get my inline 6 flathead going in my 46 Chrysler. Should sound good with a pair of glasspacks and dual header manifold. :p

That recording does sound good!,mine sortof burbled a bit louder and the 12 volts spinning the 6volt starter kindof yelled start you bastard.but I love them .

Jimmy Shine does nice work,all by himself.Hes a craftsmen.

Floyd Cotterpin on the other hand is a fat lazy bastard.I'm friends with a few guys who worked for him and hes just what I stated above.I'm glad Mike Curtis got the heck out of there,hes an awesome person and does very nice work too,its good hes on his own now.As well as Jimmy White,hes way better off on his own.Floyd should be in jail where crooks belong,for ripping off all of the invstors for years.

I don't have cable and never will,prolly cuz of all the crap on the TV.With a bunch of yous watchin these shows your bitchin about and being on the 'puter when do you have time to work on your own trucks/projects?
