Slick 60's

Slowly working on a 1966 f250 4x4. I am getting ready to bring the frame in to work on and one thing I need is the front 6-8" of frame rails where the front bumper bolts on. My truck that I found 20 plus years ago in a junk yard was used as a yard truck with a large metal I beam and hydraulic winch set up on the front. Needless to say they cut the front of the frame off to weld the I beam on and I need to find a donor frame for the pieces in need. Does anyone know what year, what size of truck, and 4x4 vs 4x2 frames would match up for the donor pieces.

you will need pieces from
61-66 f100-250 4x4
61-66 f350 and f500

Ice is correct. However, if unable to find correct horns and brackets, you CAN use the '65/'66 and later 2wd, as well as later 4wd, pieces, since you are likely faced with welding anyway. Utilizing the 2wd horns will allow direct bolt-up to the bumper sans brackets. It won't be correct, but certainly will maintain some semblance of the factory look as much as would the correct ones welded in place. Back before the big "cowcatchers" were popular on private trucks; many previous fleet vehicles were done this way after auction to disguise the stigma of fleet usage.

I have the pieces you are looking for from a 1970 4X4 F100, I think they are the same. They are 3 or so inches past the core support hole.
