Heater Box Swap

The cab that I am working on is a 1964 that has the blower motor coming through the fire wall and the heater core pipes running vertical. I'm curious if anybody has used a 1965 heater box instead. I know the blower motor hole will have to be welded shut and the heater core holes will have to be redone to be horizontal. Is there anything other than that needs to be done? Any information and images are welcome.
Thanks,
Matt

The air inlet on the passenger side kick panel is a different shape, too.

Thank you Sportinlife for your input. That shouldn't be that big of deal since I have the plastic air inlet that was with the 65 box.
So from what it seems like all I have to do is weld some holes shut and make new holes using a template from what I am gathering.

Can any one tell me the measurement from the top of the heater core hole to the body seem below? I don't have this cab (65 F600 2wd) any more to measure myself. It doesn't have to be a perfect measurement either, I am just trying to use the heater box that I have and need a starting point.

MR.Jones - Thank you for those measurements.
However I am looking for the measurements for the heater core that has the horizontal outlets not the vertical ones.

I temporarily installed the inner fender liner to figure out which way I needed to go. I have come to the conclusion that the red circle is going to be the new hole for the other outlet for the heater core.

To make the new holes for the heater box I have to remove a bracket on the inside of the firewall. I did this by drilling out the spot welds that are pictured in green.

After removing the bracket from the firewall I had to make a template of the heater box mounting studs. The circled black dots are where the new holes have to be drilled for the heater box to mount. Then after that is done I am going to weld the hole shut where the old blower motor would go.
