Slick 60's

Looking for a "Dana 61" front axel. Needs to be a 3.07/ 3.08 ratio ( VERY hard to find ratio).
87 to 94 Ford IDI diesels or Dodge first gen diesel 89 to 94.
3/4 or 1 ton is fine I'm very capable of changing spindle /hubs, and have them at my disposal.
And plan on a full u joint, seal and bearing replacement before installing.
The Dodge version is much more prolific than the Ford.

Unfortunately a Dana 44 is not capable of handling the weight of my diesel engine...

I know many of you have local favorite junk yards and local search engines, and I can greatly improve my odds of finding a suitable axel with your help.

I will make my 61 Uni 4x4 sooner or later.
It is just a matter of finding a suitable front axel.

So far my only possible candidate is in central Vermont, not the shortest or smartest trip I can make with tr current corona hype and in mid winter.

it's too bad you're not looking for a rear diff, I have a Dana 60 from a '77 f250, and it's a 3:07, but wrong end of truck, and wrong side of the border as well....

Yep, already have a 61 rear.... If I didn't I would have already swaped in a pair of 3:55 axel's and lived with the 60 mph speed limitation.
