Welcome, I have 70 model truck headers on the 302 in my 62 and they work fine. Dropping the axle is better than a flip. I opted for an IFS setup.

I have a 64 with a 302, used Mustang shorty headers. Looks like they will work just fine, but I have never had exhaust pipes hooked up to them yet.

Welcome. I run a 460 in my 64 it has sandersons on it, they are shorties, but you can get a set from them for a 302 or any other engine. can also special order custom built to your measurements from them.

Just about any header you want to use will work. Shortys will work the best but long tube will present some interferance problems with the motor mounts and cross members.

The water here is fine and ask a lot of questions so the rest of us can feel usefull.

I could recomend a few things to do. I like my front end up a little, kinda like an old gasser car

. you could reverse your eyelets on your leafs. I did remove my center leaf and reassembled them. it dropped it down just a tad but not very much also changed the wear location on the old leafs. I think the best way would be to buy a front axel thats already made to drop. or look for some drop spindles ( if there is such a thing for these trucks)

no. no drop spindles for these trucks. reversed eye or mono leaf springs, or sub frame it.

Technically, what works for a '60 will work for a '64. I've seen examples of 61-64's with the front axle over the springs, but I can't really say I'm a fan. I believe it's been discussed here before, so you may want to do a search.
Oh yeah, welcome!

You can get a little lower by removing some leafs, I pulled 3 from the front of my Uni. Everything up front on my truck is real tight though, I don't think I'd try it if your's needs king pins, tie rod ends, etc. Be sure to remove every other leaf NOT ones next to each other.
I haven't done the rears yet, I'll do them after I get the new tires & wheels because I'll run taller tires on the back and want to keep a little rake in it. Some will say this worsens the bump steer but I haven't noticed any issues with it. Here are some pics.
