pics 65 crew work in progress

This is a low mileage, no rust, and everythig works F-350 I bought from the oringal owner. It was a duly with a utility box and 10ft. camper, moter is a 352 industrial the rest of the drivetrain is from 74 3/4 ton 4x4.

Awesome, I love it!
Is that the original frame & you just slipped 4x4 axles under it? Looks like you're doing an excellent job with it, looking forward to more update pics.

Looks a shitload like ford red to me...........
AKA the Y block or industrial engines....
I would have painted it orange......

Yes its the original frame and springs. Front end was bolt in, the rear I moved the hangers back about 7" to match fender wells on long box. I used transfercase cross member form donor truck.

All the ford industrial engines I have ever seen were painted battleship (or Ford tractor) grey

Kev, thats going to one sharp truck when you get finished. I would love to have a crew cab myself, maybe one day.
The
ford crate motor i got 2 yrs. ago was gray when it came, the third thing i did to it was paint it Ford Blue.

Really nice truck! I also would love one. My dream slick would be a crew shortbed with a 7.3 or 6.o diesel 4x4 with king ranch interior, basicly a rebody of my 06 crew short KR! i have never seen a crew slick in person, pretty rare in so cal.
As a side note, I have a book on vintage airstream trailers and there are a ton of crew slicks in there that were tow vehicles.

Nice looking crew Kev. My brother lives in Yakima. I plan on spending a few weekends there this summer. We rafted the yakima river last summer going to do it again this summer. Id love to see that rig up close sometime. My brother puts together a car show or kind of a show and shine out at the firing range and Im going to try to drive my 65 4x4 out there to be in it. If you are interested I will try and put you in touch with him or at least find out how you get into it.

Love those crew cabs! Gotta be a bitch to park though, unless you have power steering.
