I seem to recall someone on this site(or maybe the msn site) that talked about putting a 66 ford truck on a 76 ford truck frame. What I am thinking about doing is using the 76 f-250 4x4 frame under a 66 body. How difficult is this?
Thanks,
Ion Kendall

the wheelbase is 133" for the '76 and 129" for the slick. So, you have to find a way to get the back axle moved forward about 4".
That might mean shortening the frame or perhaps it's possible to move the spring and shock mounts forward that much.
Cab mounts should line right up, at least the front ones. The '76 has a wider frame at the back, so you will have to redrill some box mount holes..
Someone who has done this should be in here..

It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
