I was told that an episode of my classic car had a company that took plastic chrome and applied real chrome did any one catch this show and what is the name and or contact info thanx

Yes I did see it. I don't think it's anything like cheap.

Technically called vacuum plating, there is more than one place that does it. Save your pennies!

No it wasn't vacuum plating. they first somehow plated the plastic with copper, then actually chromed the copper, IIRC.

I saw another type, on Rides or Overhauling where they sprayed it on kind of and they chrome plated a balloon. That one was cool too. No idea what that was.

Hey guys, I think the chrome guy on Classic Cars was Paul's' Chrome Plating. They say they actually apply some kind of real metal to the plastic and then chrome that.
I just had my dash chromed by a company in Vancouver BC and it came back very nice.

there's a place here in kc that will plate anything and warrenty it. let me find their site...
