That seriously false under the TDB clause (don't like it? Too Damn Bad!). there are things we do and things we don't do. You don't buy a house in town and move a junkyard in (unless it is zoned for it). You don't erect an unsightly wall 15 feet high unless you have a permit etc... What is absurd is to regulate stupid stuff like snowmen and holiday light displays (was that too politically correct? Should I have written Christmas light display?). I actually used to have neighbors who complained about teh bright lights and music until 9PM from my Christmas decorations. We now have new neighbors with young kids, they are in a hurry to play catch up! LOL Merry Christmas, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs, um er, I mean morons bite! Hawkrod

Did I mention that I have over 100 artificial Christmas trees in my yard this year?:

LOL Hawkrod looks like a las vegas bar
I should have had that at my last house.. would have fixed my neighbours right up!

The whole concept of making snowmen illegal in Alaska is kind of like saying to Texans "Steak houses are a danger to society"

Tree on the roof my ass! LOL That "tree on the roof" is a tree of lights using a sailboat fiberglass mast! It is "interesting" to put up! It really isn't that tall and for next year I am working on something in the 30 foot range. The 20 foot flagpole is appropriately dressed with a 2 foot wide "Merry Christmas" rope light sign and several strands of red and green lights. Hawkrod

heres the link with video.

not going to start a long rant on what you should or should not be allowed on your property, just going to say the city has much more important things to be concened about than that.

great job on your trees ,Hawk.

we got a "Starfish" ran up my gma's tv antenna, about 50 feet up... that thing is cool. my gpa made it when I was about 4.... It's become my tradition to put it up since he isnt around anymore... Too bad the antenna doesnt have its extra 20 foot section it used to have before they had to move it to a tighter spot.
