Just stopping in to say HI... I've just started to read the forums here, and absorb all the information. I can tell I'll be referring to this site a lot!
I just bought a 1966 Ford F-100. It's something of a project- Mechanically it's pretty good, has some cosmetic issues here and there, and needs a new interior- But it's a good place to start-
She's got a 352 under the hood-
The plan is to do a 'nice enough' restoration- I don't plan to show it, but want to USE it. I collect vintage boats, and they'll look great behind it!
looks pretty solid to me. enjoy and welcome to the site.

i could no longer keep "r.i.p.ing" all of our fallen brothers and sisters, so i say here, slick loads of love and much respect to all you beautiful people.
Welcome to the Affliction known as Slick-itus!!!! from West Virginia.... yours is about where mine is now...... after almost 5 years of work..... Wish I could have started that clean.... ... but then again... I like the challenges... Those boats will look sweet behind it also... nice looking start to a great truck.... again, Welcome!!!
I'm sure I'll have TONS of questions once I start 'digging in'- I'm mechanically inclined, and like to tinker, but most of my experience has been on boats. Lots of parallells, but also LOTS of differences- I don't have to worry about shot breaks or bad tires on my boat

The 352 is a smooth tow engine.I've had 4 over the years. This one,I've had since 85. What's behind it is the reason I wanted these year model trucks to start with. In time ,If you want to , some pics of your boats behind the 66 will be great.
Well, Good news from the Mechanic that I brought her to....
There is NOTHING wrong mechanically. A small leak in the power steering was all he could find. Just what I wanted to hear.
My worries about the brakes were a result of not being used to a non-powered system... He assured me that they were strong- in fact, most of the parts were brand new. He just said to mash on 'em, and she'll stop just fine.
