That's called cutting off your nose to spite your face
an '88 Camaro is such a sloppily built POS that ANY ford engine is too good for it.

Stick one on a '57 Chev stepside and you might have something.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

I just found the whole thing rather amusing. Probably the only way to make a 88 camaro as fast as a Mustang GT though, lol.

I was hoping for pics too, if for nothing else than to see what sort of hatchet job he did on the swap.

I think a lot of guys are missing the point. Build it just to say you can, I like that kind of thinking. Appearantly, not everybody thinks outside the box, though.
"Why not drop a 351W in a Camero?", is my only question.

Or an old bigblock mopar maybe.
I used to like the big block dodge 313 in my 57 pickup
NOOOOOBODY could catch me unless they could do 112 MPH
I could only get 111 out of my old truck, but gettin there was a blast, quick but low geared

Mopar Hmm, reminds me of a girl I used to date back in the 70s. She had a short fridge with a Mopar 413 Max Wedge in it, like it or not the thing would scoot! Her older brother built her the truck. His car was a 70 Maverick that he shoehorned a Boss 429 into, it was real fast too til he bent the unibody with all that torque. Lol, a few years later another guy I knew put a REAL well built 283 with a tunnel ram and 2x4s in a 71 Vega GT, he banged 2nd one night and the windshield literally popped right out of the car, lol.

Those vega's would do that with the original 4 banger in them.
Went to change a windshield in a 6 month old vega once, still smelled new inside. We found a big chunk of rust under the window on the dash and the owner said leave the window out. He drove it directly to the dealer and demanded his money back. Dont know how it worked out
