Slicks at the Autorama in Detroit

Post by rcb1020 »

Before I forget and a big thanks to Gregg ! My pictures from Photobucket are now much larger. Go to Off Subject section in the board index to learn how to make your pictures this size. A few pictures from Autorama in Detroit on 2/25/12 , all the trucks with the exception of the Hot Wheels truck were in the Ratrod Section.

Interesting pic's! I bet the lookers have no idea how much work it takes to make a (Relic) truck or distressed look/ratrod?

Didnt get to make it to the autorama this year. kinda wish I had gone though. The wife and I decided to stay at our nice rural home 31 miles north of the D instead. But that louvered slick is for sale for about $4800 on craigslist. I work with the owners buddy and he told me about it before it went up for sale..I was half tempted to pick it up...but i think i have a few too many projects

Hey thats my white 66. Thanks for taking the pics. I love that damn truck so much I parked my 54 Ford Semi-Kustom and drive the truck all the time. Its original paint, headliner,352, 3 spd. It's got dropped beams, flipped rear axle, 56 Buick caps. That UNI is by Club Brother Marks truck. It belonged to a mutual friend and he had planned to turn it into a Mercury truck. Mark did the louvers, fixed some fust, and distresed the paint. If you are interested in buying it PM and I can get you the info you need.

btw its a 60 Mercury Grill. They also look killer in 59, 60 El caminos

RCB you need to come out to the Show in June. Lots of Slicks last year, some fridges, some old f1's, and some Merc trucks from Canada eh'. It's a great show, if you liked the Basement, you will love Sins of Steel
