Re: custom bagged 65 shortbox
whats up tyler!
that's a sweet way to finish off high school. I like that front independent bag setup you did, i would have gone the same route if i wasn't trying to keep my build under 3k. nice work and glad to see you got the bug from Rick.
I'm here in Vegas and have seen you and Bret lee around a couple of times. when i finish mine we should take them over to first Friday

I'm sure you guys can hook up a heater for the tailgate on that Chebby, so your hands don't get cold pushing it.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

Re: custom bagged 65 shortbox
It was real cool to see the slick family getting some love on television as these trucks don't get the attention they deserve. I'm sure that between you and your dad, the truck will get some much needed attention. If you have any questions regarding air suspension etc, feel free to post them up. There are some very capable people on this site that are more than welcome to give you a hand

Re: custom bagged 65 shortbox
Ok guys so I need so help finding some parts, I am in need of a tailgate skin or a whole new tail gate, I'm looking into getting a roll pan, I could use a new passenger side bedside but the old one is salvageable... Barely lol. I need a door handle shave kit, I think that's it for now.
We will make all the fender wells and all that stuff, I think I am gonna go ahead and shave the side view mirrors, I just love that look. I already have my gauges on order. I'm so excited I'm doing the classic tan gauges with black pointer and black numbers, I am getting a billet dash insert and am going to be running six gauges. I will give you guys a little hint that I am going to be running a 5 speed

Re: custom bagged 65 shortbox
Tyler the tailgate from any 65 through 79 will fit your truck . For the rollpan alot of guys have used the top of a bedside which works out great as the shape is perfect . Autoloc sells full kits for shaved doors . I figured out a trick years ago where I shaved the door handles but left the locks and reworked the lock rods so they would open the doors instead of locking or unlocking them using the key . Didnt matter much at that point that they were not locked since you still were not getting in without the key .

Re: custom bagged 65 shortbox
I disagree on the autoloc. I'd go with an Avs kit because I've had the auto Popper's freeze up from moisture and it really sucks trying to get the doors open lol.
