Must be real good fishing right there but I'd be at least another 100m behind those swells.

it actually looks like the waves are caused from the water going back out. you can see the boats driving forward against them. i think these guys kinda know what they are doing and it is cool. just not for me. i'll watch from here.

You are right Chris, they are crossing a sand bar at the mouth of a river that is in full flood, you might of seem debris floating by them.

I used to teach guys to drive these on the mouth of the Columbia River. It looks scarey, but after you have done it for years its like anything else.

Road rough sees on a short pipeline lay barge when we had a huricane coming in on the gulf. They offered to let us go in on the crew boats or ride the barge in and the n take us off. After satnding in the middle of the deck watching the crew boat for a few minutes I decided I would saty on the barge. One minut the crew boat was above the deck and the next it was out of sight. Mind you I ws standing in the middle of the barge and the crew boat was next to it taking on passengers. You had to hop on as it was going down. Later as was the barge was making it's way cloer to shore, I walked down the ahllway below decks and was thrown from one wall to the other. The hallway was about 5 ft. wide.

Wish I could upload my old videos of the hurricanes I've run thru or the Bering Sea winter patrols done. Some walking on bulkhead stuff. I've been "at sea" for over 8 of my 14 years in the Coast Guard. Spent many days tossing my cookies headed out on a rescue to go get crab guys, fisherman, lobsta'h man, shrimpers in all the oceans surrounding the US. I'm very prone to sea sickness, but just buckle down throw up and carry on. Not a fun way to make a living. I miss my boat(Cutter). I've been going thru cancer treatment for a month now and been unable to go to work- supposed to have two more years on there- but might not now.

Not sure if its time to quit and ride a desk.
The months may change, but I am always APRIL
