bump (not slick)

Post by ezernut9mm »

drug this home today. bought it last week and the wife wasn't really what you'd call "enthusiastic" so it has been at a friends house all week. i think this will be my last just for fun truck purchase. lol

240/ 3speed. rusty in all the right places, but has new cab mounts and everything works.

i have had several, and they are good trucks. also, for anyone thinking about doing a power booster upgrade. i highly recommend it. this is the first one of these i have owned with p/b and it definitely is more responsive. i killed it when i first drove it and about put myself through the windshield because i just stomped the pedal without thinking about the brakes. it stops way better than any i have owned even with drums on all four corners.

brian: damn, i don't know what cauliflower ears are as far as trucks go. lol

dana: oh, she's already noticed and i was given the "three vehicle" rule today. i guess i can't even grandfather it in. it'll be lucky to last the summer, but then again, it would be lucky to last, rule or no rule.

no, rick i have not.

Three vehicles per driver? Seems awfully strict to me! Are exemptions allowed for those which don't, and probably never will again, move under their own power?

paul, i think it's an aggregate thing. i am at my limit or over. i can't really play with the 66 so i had to hve something to tinker with.

rick, i have seen that cover. and seen lot's of pics of that truck. it is wicked. i like how he made the 73/up hood fit.

lol. she'll be back in the driveway now that the 70 is all snug in it's resting spot. it would help if i had more available parking though. but since i poured the drive way extension i can't drive between the houses to get to the back yard anymore.

How does the Offenhauser intake help things?, she has been fairly well looked after by the look of the chrome and interior!
