Currently my truck doesn't run because I have to install a new distributor. It also needs new tires because the current ones are dangerous. But for some reason I though it was important to wire-wheel, prep and paint the valve cover in period correct red-orange.



It'll be the most beautiful thing on my rusty old truck, but it'll be under the hood where nobody will see it.

Been raining a lot and keeping me from doing the distributor job, so I guess I just needed a win. If it rains tonight, the oil bath air cleaner will get a shiny new black paint job. Or, maybe the push-rod cover. Can't decide.

And, I give you the freshly painted air cleaner and custom cut spark plug cables (in red of course). Now that ugly oil filler cap sticks out like a sore thumb. He's next:
