That varied from year to year and I believe from CC versus base model.

I am pretty certain that my 65 came with black rims and silver (argent?) hubcaps.

I seem to recall that there was a set of pics on the old, original site (not the MSN site) that became this site. MIght want to look around some more.

Another variant, perhaps what you should have for a 64, was Wimbledon White wheels (I think, there is also another white color that is close to that and may be more correct) with silver caps and the lettering of the caps was done in red.

Corinthian Whte sounds more correct to me too, now that I see it in print.

My truck has the grill painted Wimbledon White. FYI. I have a set of 4 white wheels as well, but I went to the black ones for originality. Frankly, I think the white ones LOOK better!

Paint chips show Corinthian white was used between 61-63 and Wimbledon white used between 64-66. Both seem to be off-white and very close shades. I believe this was also bumper and grille color for standard models.

wimbledon white and corinthian white i believe are the same color, just a different name. All wheels 1961-64 were painted wimbledon white. If you had a standard cab you had a silver painted hubcap. If you had a custom cab those had a stainless steel hubcap. (I wish I had a set of those!. hard to find). 1965's had black wheels with white painted hubcaps for a standard cab. 1966 f100's had different wheels and hubcaps than the earlier years. Those wheels were painted white with a 3 different options for hubcaps. The 66 F250 shared the same 3/4 ton wheels and caps as the earlier years but those were painted black like the 65's.

i have adds showing painted wheels on cc for 65's im pretty sure it was an option be carefull saying that everything was the same ,back then you could get the factory to do almost anything to make a sale, and of course ford was notoriuos to swapping parts on different years too

I know for a fact that my Dad's 65 standard cab came with silver hubcaps. He took them off after loosing one and I dusted the remaining 3 off 30 years later, and they were silver.

But this not to say that all 65's had silver. I seem to think that the CC cabs may have been different (painted white?). And perhaps it was a regional thing or maybe even a dealer spec'ed issue.

i have seen 3 stock wheel colors no idea what was used where.
colors are white, black or argent(silver)
caps are the same way, white or argent paint with red letters and chrome with black letters.
then of course there are full size caps used on some rangers.

The confusion increases when F 250 and F350 wheels are involved. F 350 wheels were always black, both single wheel and dual wheels from '61-'66. I believe 61 and 65 F 250 wheels were black, while the other years used white.
