Funny I saw this exact same truck in black in Medicine hat yesterday, all original too. Never noticed that style of chrome down the sides before, must be rare and hard to replace. His even had stock wheels.

and that 'A' Highboy with a stock engine is just priceless. I had to not take pics of probably a dozen Fords yesterday, because their owners weren't as bright a bulbs as this guy

I've been a gearhead for more years than I can or care to remember. I bought my first Hot Rod Magazine in 1957.
But in all those years, reading about cruising in Detroit and down Gratiot Ave. in particular, I have never heard anyone pronounce the word
"Gratiot".
Would you please explain the right way to say it for me :?
Thank you.
Uncle Skip
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.
Pardon me. Does your deaug bite?

Back in the late 60's, the first time I called them to order parts they answered the phone with a loud and hardy "GRAYSHIT". I just hung up, thinking I had the wrong number. After checking and carefully calling back, I realized I must have got the right place.

I still have the NOS 67 dual quad manifold (C7ZX I think) and carbs I got from them, and never used.
