"Finest F100 anywhere" ???
If your going to do a high end restoration ( ebay 220690722639), it would be a wise idea to do some research first. Why didn't he consult this site first? I see aleast 1/2 dozen issues.

Actually, I believe Dan is (or at least was) looking for one of those "ugly" grillsezernut9mm wrote:the bed is correct for a 64 too dan, but it has that ugly grille. lol.
IMHO, there should be a law against people using the word "restoration" when it clearly isn't. I prefer the word resurrection. Looks great and the workmanship looks top notch, but its the little, minor things that kill it: fender emblem in the wrong place, engine painted the wrong color

Sorry about that Chris! Personally, I personally prefer either the 62 or the 65 grills, but am learning to like the 63's also. Of course some like redheads and some like blonds.ezernut9mm wrote:i know he was gerald. that's why i was razzing him. lol. everyone knows the 64's have the best looking grilles.

gee, what a great buy... Not! for that money, the guy could have at least done some under hood work. really, he couldn't shoot 5cents worth of spray paint on the horn relay? Looks like the wheels are original too.. lol
So good lookin' that I've attracted an international stalker.

Ok, for those who want to know what factorystock would do to make the truck historically correct. Find correct aluminum '64 grille. Letters above grill relocated to wider spacing. Emblem relocated to hood.Engine block painted black, valve cover Ford Red. Remove '48-'56 hubcaps, and install correct bottle cap style.Paint wheels white. Should have aluminum body moldings for a truck with tu tone paint. Adjust tu ton paint line ( Non Canadian ) which would run directly under moldings, not under body lines as shown. Remove the door handle custom cab emblem, leave the script custom cab emblem.Add oil bath air cleaner. All this work and costs involved should be deducted from asking price in my hubble opinion.
