I removed the valve covers did a valve adjustment, started it up and notice oil only climbing up the push rods, Should it also be coming out of the bent tubes aiming at the rocker assembly, It seems that it should. What is the best way to clean out this passage,is it realatively easy to remove the rocker assembly and soak to clean everything else there? It is realativly clean, but the no oil thing has me worried....

I'm no expert, but this is a little of what I've learned and found out about the Wonderful Y Block.
First, it's pretty straight forward to pull the oil tubes and clean them. Also you may want to clean all the oil passages you can get to. Most of the engines form this era are pretty gummed up. Mostly form inattentive owners and the oils available in the '50s and early '60s.

Oil that was spec'd for the Y Block was straight 20wt, Yeah, 20wt.
Kept the oil moving thru the engine. AND, kept the top end oiled.
With that said, I have had a tough time finding straight 20wt these days and with my new rebuilt 292, have gone to 20-50.
