Check out this guy selling my old Dodge Dart Swinger

So we sold one of our project cars a couple of weeks ago to a guy. It's a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 318 car, been sitting out back for over 12 years. My Son had stripped it down to a shell and tossed the original engine / trans years ago, has sat there ever since rotting away. It has some major rust issues in the quarters, trunk, fenders, floor pans ect.

Anyway we put it up for sale to fund his 61 F100 shot bed project, so this Guy comes over and grinds us down to $2000.00 including spare parts and delivery to his house 70 miles away. We gave him some extras like a set of 340 hood scoops and a 4 speed tunnel hump.

Less than a week later we see this ad, our car !! he has quickly hung the bumpers and trim back on and installed the grille. He wants $12000.00 firm !!!

I was in total shock when I first seen the ad, I couldn't stop laughing. He seemed a likable guy, and talked up a storm about his autobody/paint skills and bodyshop. Yet when my Son dropped off the car at his farm, there was no shop or equipment, just an open lean too shed and a small wood floor spot in a barn.

The car is just a plain Dart Swinger, other than the 8 3/4 ( not a dana as he says) it's nothing special and it's very rusty ( why my Son never built it) It's missing complete engine/trans, trans crossmember, front seats, headliner, carpet, door panels, fuel tank w filler, rad, a ton of misc hardware and trim. And the hood scoops we gave him have no eyebrows or 340 emblems.

The funny part is we had the car listed with photo's for months on the internet at $2500.00 , lots of offers at $800.00 - $1000.00 and some trades but nothing serious.

There was a 63 1/2 Mercury Marauder S55 for sale locally. Low mileage original car. Guy scooped it up for $5k and I just saw it cleaned up at a car show in Pensacola less than 30 days later for $27k.
