Not sure what problem you're having but its probably the gap adjustment.
If you have the black ring that goes on the distributor shaft under the rotor on, you simply adjust the gap between it and the Ignitior module by moving the module the way you used to do the points.

I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Which motor is it going on? Both my sons and mine have 223s and the distributors we have call for a 1266 unit instead of bthe 1261 that usually gets shipped. It should go straight in like regular points and gets set with the clear strip of plastic that it comes with. If you still have problem send me a pm with your email and I will forward some trouble shooting steps sent to me by pertronix

Hey unibody madness can you share the trouble shooting tips with all of us on the forum, please. I installed a pertronix set up on my '56 F100 with the stock 223 6 cylinder engine. It is still a cold blooded engine initially, but when warmed up good, and I stick my foot into it, the engine rpm just climbs with out any hesitation. Makes thrashing on it great fun, reminds me of when I was in high school thrashing my brother's '54 F100 with a tired Y-block and 3 speed tranny. Thanks in advance.

Re: igniter install...help
cars2cool,
Pm me your address and I will forward the pdf file that was sent to me. Its three pages worth...or tell me how i can attach the file in the hints and tips section and I will do that for all to see. I think copy and paste would work, but if there is another way I could try that.
I found that cleaning all my grounds, from the cab, to the frame, to the engine,
as well as checking the brown wire, that goes to the selenoid, which splits off the pink resistor wire at the harness plug on the firewall, fixed the response problems I was having.
