Defroster Hose attachment

Post by 1965fordf100 »

Just curious what everyone has used to attach new defroster hose to the dash vents? Hose is easily found but I can not find a way to attach it in the dash

mine were close enough to be saved, laid the pieces back together on wax paper and soaked them with brush on super glue super glue. If that ever fails I will try making a set out of p.v.c. pipe and flange

Sorry I initially read your question wrong. I assume your cardboard thingys are bad? Check junkyards for some? Also ther is a thread on here about using PVC pipe and flanges as earlier stated here. Me I am going to the junk yard this spring and get some as there are several trucks at 1 that have windshields in them and the tubes are still good.

I just spent a great deal of time at Home Depot and the selection of pvc flange is not very good or I am blind...

A member of the Facebook Slick60's forum has had some replacements manufactured. I believe his name is Andrew Tuning.
