Found the following engine within driving distance..no computer no trans... is this worth my time? it was in a front end collision that wrecked the radiator. seller says it ran ok before he salvaged the motor. He says he would want 850. for matching rebuilt trans bell and clutch set up

It does not matter what you think, it only matters what you do about it!

Re: 5.0 roller help
I would buy a whole car first. That way you get everything you need for the swap. Then sell the rest to get some of your money back. Used Mustangs aren't that $$$ to find.

Re: 5.0 roller help
just remember the balance on the newer 1981 and later is 50 oz balance instead of the 28.5 balance of the engines before 1981. I ran one of the "roller motors" in my 1982 Mustang GT with a carb and absolutely loved it. It seems to rev a little easier and the cam choices, and other accessories is nearly unlimited.

If you sent your Truck out to a restoration shop, you did NOT build it, jus sayin!
