Nerf guns.

Post by Phil »

I bought one to have battles with the kid but stock appearance just didn't cut it. So what kid doesn't need a realistic looking assault rife?
(insert crappy parent comment here)

Almost done, more detailing to come.

haha that's great.

KEEP THE KID OFF THE STREET WITH THAT THING...

It's so realistic he's liable to get shot....
My roommate just said that in Los Angeles, some ganbangers killed a couple 9 year olds because they thought they were gonna shoot them with an over-realistic toy gun.
The cops also killed some kid with a toy gun that was too real, and the dumbass apparently was playing them on or something.

I posted a home built compressed air powered bb machine gun picture on Greg's new compressor post a couple of nights ago then pulled it the next morning. Thought about it and decided that might give some kid a bad idea so I pulled it.

It worked well variable rate of fire and it held around 350 bb's.
I used it to try and get rid of the pigeon problem in a oil storage building where I used to work.
Got a little overzealous with it and shot down 3 sets of fluorescent lights trying to get a flyer.

My kids loved shooting down rows of aluminum cans with it and they turned out ok so no crappy parent comment here Phil.
I bet your kids have a blast shooting it and hopefully any lights around will be safe with soft bb's

This is an airsoft gun that I have. Shoots 0.20g biodegradable BB's using a battery operated torque motor. It has what's called a hop-up system on it where you can dial in the amount of spin it puts on the bb for range.

There is a statement on the front page of the operating manual that states "you may be killed or seriously wounded by brandishing this realistic weapon in public."

Good for popping varmints that like tearing into stuff - possums, racoons, etc. but won't kill them.

my dad's friend used to use a pellet gun with like 1-2 pumps depending on distance and wadcutters to scare stray dogs off his land in tennessee. It wasnt really enough to hurt them at all. Or so he THOUGHT. One day he popped at a dalmation that belonged to a neighbor. Damned pellet went straight thru and killed the dog. Either his kid had been playin with the gun and left it pumped way hard, or that dog was just squishy...
