Late model three on the tree trans?

Post by Jimbo302 »

I have a plan to put an efi 302 in my 62, but I want to keep the column shift standard. Will a 70's or later 3spd work with my factory bracketry? If not does anyone know the mods necessary to swap to a standard that will fit behind a windsor engine and work with the three on the tree shifter?

I did it a long time ago and It worked with a 289. Although I don't remember the pedal linkage that connects to the side of the engine block lining up just right. Let me know if you heard something else.

I have a 77 and a 78 parts truck that both have 300 with 3 speeds on the column. Let me know if you need photos of the linkage.
If you continue to buy imports, where will your children work?
