head count
I know it is still a long ways away but I was sitting here thinking about how many I think will be here next Year and I am coming up with close to 50 members who I think I can count on to be here. Greg D and I were talking about this last week and he is predicting 70 here next Year, maybe I need to be looking for a bigger Hotel. One of the reasons I am posting this is I have found a Hotel we could use and it has 76 rooms I believe. I think it would be awsome if we could just take over the whole place for SlickStock. I talked to one place and they did not offer us any discount on rooms and would not guarentee we would be close to where we would park and if we wanted a parking area roped off for just us they want $500 if we have less thann 45 trucks here. It would be the perfect place but I just keep getting a bad feeling about it. I am still looking and I will talk to the place again to see if we can get together on some things but there are alot of Hotels in the Des Moines area and I am sure there is one who would love to have us. I am going to go today and see what I can find, gonna drive around a little and if I dont see something my Wife and I are going to take a Day and just drive all over till we find something that will work for us. We hope to see as many as possible here next year so get busy on trucks and plans to make the trip...........Kid
There are some Days I should not be let to go into the public without adult supervision

For me count 4 people (me/wife/kids) in one room. Plus the one truck (crewcab)...
Might be time to start registraion to get a count of people. Suggestion put something in there something like how comited that person is to going. Mine will be at 98%... I don't even want to think of that 2% it's evil I tell you...
Please do not start the count down clock yet... I don't think I can handle that clock this far out....

count me in.
Darrell, possible you could get some references from the previous hotels stating how great it was for them to have our fine group there without any problems for the hotel?
pretty sure the KC hotel would give a good one.
they made a lot of extra $ on food and drink while we were there too.
