Thanks alot for the help guys! I have not ordered the starter yet, just trying to inspect each and every aspect before I start spending $$ haha.
The radiator is a bigger newer radiator and nothing is clogged I know that much.

Waterpump Question
So here are some pictures of the waterpump off my 429 that is semi built. As some of you know I am having heating issues with the engine. So we decided to pull the pump off and look at it...I am not sure what manufacturer makes it or if its a good one or cheap one. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums...

Alright guys got the water pump off today, seems sorta cheap. So I was wondering what you guys would recommend as a good water pump that can keep up with this engine? And behind the water pump, what it screws into where my dipstick is, not sure what it is called, I found this http://i117.photobucket...

I think today or tomorrow we are going to pull the water pump off and look at the cooling system more in depth to determine if that is playing a role in the heat...other people have said the timing could be off enough to keep it warmer then usual, so we will be checking that this weekend too I belie...

So starter/battery combo sounds like the most likely fix. I guess in the meantime I will try to get a more accurate temp gauge on there, but from what I have been reading the 460/429 puts off alot of heat. And the engine is not 100% stock, I know before the previous owner had a blower on it and took...

Alright, I think thats where we are going to start is getting a better gauge in there...All fluids were just changed, less then 1 wk ago, coolant is full, and I am not sure if I am over heating or not? It runs good when running, just gets HOT, and it starts back up if you try hard enough...just very...

Alright thanks for the help. Do the 429s put off ALOT of heat under the hood? I just ran it got it nice and hot my temp gauge went almost all the way up to H, granted I do not know how accurate it is,, but then it was hard to start so I hooked it up to my ranger and jumped it and even with the heat ...

Heat Issues-Few questions Pics included
Alright so a few of you know my dad and I picked up a 66 with a 429 in it, decently built. It had some wiring issues which we sorted out, but its still running pretty warm, and once it gets hot, when it is shut off it has a very hard time starting again. It is very slow turning over, instead of a mm...

I am not sure of the color, an older gentlemen owned the truck before us, and did a 90% resto on it. My dad and I picked it up and have been going through it working all the small kinks out here and there, and some aesthetic stuff too. Im not a big fan of the orange, but when you hear her you forget...

We went through all the grounds. All is good there. I think we are going to order a starter this week, that seems to be the problem. It cranks no problem when cold, but when warm it slows way down. The battery is 800 I believe, I know it is at least 700. I will get some pictures this week, I wanted ...

66 w/ 429, Need some help.
429 big block in my 66 F100, It starts up great but once it is warm and I try to start it again, it cranks VERY slowly. It will start, but it turns over slowly and I have to push the gas pedal a couple times to get her going..My question is what could it be? My dad and I are thinking possibly the st...

352 Engine Problems..No Spark
My dad and I have swapped engines, 352 to 352, we know the engine runs good as we heard it and saw it, but we have it all hooked up in our truck. It turns over and sounds like it wants to go but there is no spark. We have tried adjusting the timing numerous times and checked grounds and all wires to...
