My 61 stepside had all hardwood spacers. They were the same size I think. I had to cut down the rear and middle spacers to mount the 82 bed so it looked right. Hope you haven't lost the hardwood spacer mounts.

I would call it a truck even though it has a Aerostar (Van) front clip. The back leafs were re-arched a couple inches lower. It can still haul a pretty good load but maybe not as much as original. It looks like a truck with a nice stance and rides kind of like a little newer truck but not like a car.
