Very nice.

I had an idea on the air cleaner.

Could you mount 2 (or 3) rods to the top (hubcap) and pass them through the bottom plate and have the wing nuts on the under side?

You could JB weld or solder them on. This way the top has NO holes or hardware.

Just a thought.

That's okay. I have a V8, but am using a 6 cylinder hood badge on my 66. I like it better and it is in better shape than the original V8 badge.

Paint looks really good in these photos.

Yeah same here. I also have a couple pre '65 emblems but this was the nicest.. I just noticed the area around the stars should be red. I'll pop that back off and get it painted..

Don't be fooled by the pics the paint isn't great but I am happy and it is all one color..

Jason...Truck looks very nice to me...dont sell yourself short on your abilities. The ONLY way I could get my truck looking that good is to pay someone else to do it...which leaves alot less satisfaction in the end. BTW...what happened to the aluminum slots in the first pic?

I sure hope so Chuck..

I hope to be starting another project by this time next fall.. Not sure what but a very good chance it will have "RAT" in the title.. I am thinking a inline 6 powered car and would like to build the body from scratch..

That sounds like a lot of work building a body from scratch. I've been known to jump into a lot of projects that I shouldn't, but I don't think that I am going into that kind of project. worship.gif
I am hoping that my next project is a Shelby Cobra with a Ford Cobra engine or a Rousch engine in it. If somebody came along and gave me the right price for my 29 Sedan Delivery, I would be looking hard for a Shelby Cobra.

Best of luck on the project.
Your truck looks great. At least you can drive yours now. I still can't.

OK Jason, not that you are finishing up your truck and I can see that your truck looks great, you can come to Smithville and help me get my 65 done.

I'm still here...

No pics but I have some stuff developing for Sylvia.. New springs ordered, sway bars ordered, a different set of wheels purchaced and my OD trans is about ready to go in.. I also have a list to do on the interior and a idea for a cool modification for storage space..

The wheels I plan to paint satin black or dark gray to match my mirrors. Two 7" for the front and two 8" for the rear..

I also noticed I do not have a recent pic in my build post..
