That truck is as near a new 66 model as any of us will probably ever see again. That would be a great truck to make pictures of for reference as to what is correct and what is not. I have no doubt that it is about 99.8% original except for the fire apparatus of course. Yes, I would love to have that one, but as usual I am running out of space. My 86 year old mom lives with me and thanks five trucks and two cars are already too many vehicles, not to mention three semi trailers and a 32 foot RV trailer.

Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner. A Republic is a well-armed sheep.
I hope I always stay crazy, because I know if I ever become sane, it will drive me crazy.
I'm half tempted to start bidding on it to see if I can afford the reserve or not. That is a work of art if it's the real deal. Shoot, if I could afford to do it I'd fly out there and inspect it, then just start bidding. I hope someone gets that for a museum if it's the real deal.
Very nice looking truck. Regardless of how things go, I like Kid's idea of nightly runs to the brewery. So..put me down for that, even if I travel on a skateboard
