heater core

Post by Tech »

It's getting cold out and it is time to replace that bypassed heater core. Will the larger core 94571 fit or should I just buy the 94572 standard one?

If you can fit the super core in the plenum do it. You can temper the excess heat by cracking a window open a tad. You'll not regret it IMHO.

I opened up the heater and there was no room for the bigger heater core so I purchased the standard unit.
I had a 75 F250 that I replaced the core in. I purchased the std core and it had the extra capacity housing. I filled the space with a block of wood and some silicone. The truck stunk like curing silicone for years after that and I didn't want to make the same mistake again.
