Here's my new buddy. I waited about 3 years to get a dog as I wasn't really in a position to take care of one. Here he is though. I got him from a shelter, about 7 months old.
G`day Rip, long time no talk!, boy has that dog got some colour combos going on! dont know about the blue heeler tho!, more like a Boarder collie cross samoy coyote dingo ridge back shitsu redsetter wolf hound, nice dog!
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!

according to the shelter he's an Australian Cattle Dog / Australian Sheep Dog mix. I'm not too concerned about what he is though, he's friendly, intelligent, just the right amount of energy for me and we get along great
looks like he's got some raccoon in him from the tail stripe. lol, looks like he's made himself right at home there.
rescue dogs are the best. my last two have been rescued.

i could no longer keep "r.i.p.ing" all of our fallen brothers and sisters, so i say here, slick loads of love and much respect to all you beautiful people.
I had an Australian for many years that was cinammon and white they are great dogs that are too smart. They are great with kids but are a lot of fun to leash train, they love to stay moving when theey are not dead asleep.
Congrats,
What an interesting looking dog - actually quite beautiful in a very unique way.
I am in your "previous" position - I don't have the time to take care of a dog. I like Huskys alot but they require more care because of their coat (spring brushing is a full time job).
This why I only have cats, if they have food, water, and a clean box they can be self sufficient for days.
