I currently own my very first Slick. 1964, 3.7L 223. However, in the two almost three years that I've owned it I've never had it at the house that I've lived in. It's at my wife's grandparents house waiting for us to buy a house. Thats why it drives my wife crazy when I tell her that a two car detached garage is a must!

I have owned 3. A 64swb 223 3on the tree flareside owned since the early seventies, still have it parked down behind the barn. A 66 swb 300 3 on the tree styleside was my DD now it has been taken over by my son. A 63 292 3 on the tree we traded an 86 ranger xlt for. Oh and at the moment a 78 F150 being cannibalized for it's brakes, steering, motor, and transmission going in to the 66.
As my dad used to say, somewhere there was a horse that died a painful death from terminal constipation due to missing a key part of its anatomy.

I have a '66 CC LWB since 1987. (traded a '73 Beetle) Dreamed all though the 90's and such. Ain't run since 1990. Ended up joining the Navy. Got married, kids, dogs, etc...Then got the bug in'07 and bought '66 SWB for parts and then a '63 Uni BBW and a '63 step for a Father / Son project. Suddenly, the toy money dried up in Jan 2009. No OT or bonuses. Seriously expect '10 to be better.
Lucky to have a patient wife. Not to mention neighbors.

I guess my signature tells my story.
The two 390" Slicks (and the Ranger) are licensed & insured and driven a few times a month.

-- I did own a '76 2WD, F250 Camper Special edition with a 390" & C6 automatic back in the mid 80's.... It had some Michigan rust, but it was a NICE, straight & strong truck.
I bought it with the plan to sell off the '65 F100. However, when it came time to put a sign in the window of the '65, my family said, "You can't sell the '65."
So long story shorter, the '76 went down the road instead.........

BarnieTrk 8)
-- '63 F-100, 2WD, 223", T-18 4spd; owned '74-'76
-- '65 F-250, 2WD, 240", 3spd; owned '76-'79
-- '94 Ranger XLT, 4-cyl, 5-spd; owned '97-'14, put on 309K miles. Sold it running.

-- '65 F-100, 2WD, 390", T-18 4spd; owned since '81. Still licensed & driven by me.
-- '65 F-250, 2WD, 390", 4spd/OD; owned since '08. Still licensed & driven by me.
-- '06 Ranger XLT, 4-cyl, 5-spd; owned since '13. Licensed and driven by me.

I've had 3. My first was a 64 swb with a 302 that I got when I was in high school and drove every day for 12 years, my future ex wife made me sell it in 85 when I bought a new F100. Then I bought a 66 swb that I had for 2 years but sold to help build our first race car. And now I have my 66 project truck that I'm starting to think I'll never get finished.

I owned 64 CC short bed back in the day. See, I had good vibes about them as far back as the mid 60's, Another 64 CC short bed a few years ago, my big slick and the 65 Ranger now, for a grand total of four. Four of a total of 49 cars and trucks over my life with only three of them being GM's, a 57 Chevy, 72 Oldsmobile, and a 75 Eldorado convertible, all the rest Fords or Ford products.

Bought my 65 in 98 and bought a 65 for parts a couple years later. The closest thing to a truck before that was a Dodge van and a Bronco.
