Original Seat Covers

Post by ezrodder »

I remember posting this before. I just don't remember if it was on this site or another one. Anyway...........

My 66 CC SWB is all original (other than grille) and still has the original seat covers, however they are in pretty sad shape ( got some 200 mph tape covering the drivers side  ). It has the FORD Crest at top in the middle of the seat back and I think it looks cool so I am hesitant about covering it.

Does anyone know of someone reproducing these covers or know of any NOS ones. When I do get around to doing the truck I would like to restore it to original.

Thanks for any info/help.........ezrodder

I plan on having my 64 seat recovered in the stock material as delivered. I ordered the original stuff from SMS in Oregon. Complete with the gear & lightning emboss. It looks awesome and I can't wait to have it all installed.
However it did Take about 3 months! to get all of it delivered, but I think it will be worth the wait. Not cheap either.

Mine is the same blue as shown. That cover looks really nice. What is approximate cost on that cover if you don't mind me asking.

Thanks.....ezrodder

First of all it's not a cover but raw material that you will have to find someone to recover the seat with.
But the two materials together with the embossed Logo was about 325 bucks. The embossing part was 90 alone. When I first heard the price I said to myself I'll never pay that.:shock::shock:
But i ponied up and I'm glad I did. It is pretty stuff and will look really nice when complete.
Now I have to save up to have it upholstered!

Those are the same 2 materials I found a seat back made of but in tan. It was in great condition since it looks to have been covered for years.
That is costly but as you said I beleive it is well worth it to restore the seat as original. When you have it upholstered you have to post many pics.
