Well, I have let my truck out in the weather for about 20 months with no hubcaps. Wasn't supposed to be that long, but sometimes these things happen. I know from experience they will be rusted on tight. Not wanting to break a bunch of wheel studs, any good suggestions on getting the lugnuts off? Not sure if Kroil is availble in the stores around here. Was thinking maybe PB blaster and a torch to heat them up, along with some tightening then loosening using an air impact.
If all else fails, will a nut splitter work on lugnuts, or are they too "hardened" for that?
Thanks.

I second PB blaster... Spray it on then off they come (use impact to save body parts). The Good Humor Man wrote:PB blaster is great stuff.
I would just soak them in PB Blaster overnight, then hit them with the impact, and you should be fine.

I have not tried it myself but I have read that you can heat the nut and stud then stick a candle on it. the heat is supposed to draw the wax from the candle into the threads.
As my dad used to say, somewhere there was a horse that died a painful death from terminal constipation due to missing a key part of its anatomy.
