Well i have been reading this site for awhile now. And man there is alot of information here. I just picked me up a 62 unibody last weekend and i cannot wait to start working on it. I don't know if i am going to go hot rod style or rat rod style, but i have seen some beautiful trucks on here, and some awesome fab skills on here as well. I am sure i will learn alot from you guys. I will post some pics as soon as i find out how.

from Michigan Here's how to post a picture.

For pics it's best to load into photobucket. Then highlight the bottom code next press the control button & the letter c at the same time. go to your posting in Slick 60's and press control & the letter v at the same time, it will now show in your post.

As far as ideas on the drivetrain. Either a 302 or 351 Cleveland. I'm not really sure yet. The original truck was a three on the tree inline 6. So i may go back with a standard transmission. Really like most people these days what ever i can find for the best bang for my buck is what will be put in it. . But guys / gals give me some ideas or let me know what yall are running..

What engine is in it now? Don 't rule out the Y-Block. That would have been one of the original engine options, along with the 223 (and a few) 262 I-6's.
Y-blocks are a little more expensive to build, and not as readily available, but there's nothing (IMHO) that rivals the Y-Block sound. There's plenty of original and aftermarket parts available.

Currently there is not a motor or transmission in it.

Hey reminds me of the day I found my 63 unibody in TX. So perfect all I had to do was blast the firewall, frame and under the truck and ready to build. No welding.
Looks like your truck would be great for ratrod look just like mine. Got that nice surface rust only that you find in TX.
