I'm of Facebook, and I joined the Slick 60's site. I first joined in Iraq so my wife and I could easily post pics of each other and I could keep in touch with the family when I couldn't get to a phone but since don't use it as much. I was surprised at how many friend requests I got from old classmates. I deny most of them because I don't like to many people knowing my business. I will say this about Facebook. I find it easier to post pics on there then on this website. Since I don't have my slick on my property yet, for now it doesn't matter much. I don't find it addicting, just a quick way to drop a line to let people know whats up (I hate talking on the phone). If you join Dwight's Slick group look me up. I love looking at the pics and dropping lines from time to time.

I just joined it Saturday night;
there are several other people who ride at the bar (which also has a page there) I go to. They organize the rides on Facebook so I joined up to find out when they are.
I went ahead and joined the Slick 60s Facebook page too.

I joined it quite awhile ago but and just really started getting into it. I am using it in my business as a Realtor and to keep up with family and freinds. I have had a few contact me that I went to High School with and I just delete and ignore them, didnt want anything to do with them then and I still don't.

I joined it Saturday as well. My daughter has a business on there and i wanted to see her Facebook page. All of a sudden I had 37 friends and they keep on rolling in..:dontknow:

Haven't figured it all out yet, but Fordboy Pete was quick to point out what NOT to do (thanks Pete). I wish i could get rid of all the "such and such is looking for an easter egg" or "cigars" or something wacky from some game they are playing that i could give a flying leap about.

Found an old buddy I have been looking for for 30 years' brother on there, but he hasn't responded to me yet. Not sure if it will be a useful tool or not... mildly fun for now.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

JC, you can 'hide' anyone in your friends list. Just to the right of their 'easter egg' or 'farmville' posts, move your pointer over and a 'HIDE' button appears that allows you to hide any post from them.

It won't get rid of them as a friend, just hides their daily BS. They can still contact you directly and you them.

I've hidden a good number of people in my list for that reason, along with daily political or religious rants or posting every time they scratch their arm. You get the idea.

You're pretty much always in control of what you get out of FB.

I joined up so I could keep in touch with my cousin and a few friends I don't see very often, but lately I just use it as a tool for promoting my part-time photography business.

Don't worry John, I don't need any easter eggs or pieces of siding for a fictional farmhouse, so I won't be asking. :wink:
