I don't really recall the cheapest, but I sure remember when it hit $1.00! I had a very young family at the time & didn't make much (ok, still don't  ), so it really left a dent in the 'ol wallet.
I remember the gas stations all had to change their price signs to fit another digit in there.

I don't remember the lowest
but I remember when we went metric
the price was around 99 cents a gallon then the goverment introduced metric and price dropped to 26 cents a litre  :(
Interestingly enough goverment was involved in gas industry owned a little fuel company called Petro Canada! :(
saved the industry millions in not having to replace pumps with new ones with dollar digit :dontknow:
To this day I will not buy fuel there unless I have absolutely no choice :stick:
:offtop: Sorry for standing on the box but it PO's me to this day :barf:

Lowest I ever personally paid was .25. I can also remember paying .60 for 100 octane leaded premium, that would be comparable to what maybe Cam 2 now at about $5 a gallon.

Lowest I recall was $.079 a gallon. $5 a week wasn't bad making $2.35 an hour. Now it's more like a days pay to fill the tank an I fill up twice a week!

We're being taxed to death by the goverment,I heard about half the money for a gallon of gas was in taxes. Trucking at $ 2.49 a gallon for diesel sucks :!: 5 miles per gallon :boohoo:
THE CHEAPEST I REMEMBER IS .29 CENTS AROUND 1973
