351W Engine Swap Questions

Post by cosmo115 »

Hi all,
My engine builder told me to get an oil pan for a 351W that will work with a twin-I beam. He'd also like a 7 qt pan. Do I need to get a rear sump pan. Will a front sump pan work? anyone use a front or rear sump t-pan?

Thanks
Vic

Its a 66 F100 2wd, no power steering, now power brakes.I am keeping the the 3spd column shift. Has an I-300 in it now. I have the new pedestals for the windsor. I'm not sure about what oil pan will work.
Thanks

If I remember right a front sump was factory on most twin i beam trucks because of the crossmember. Front sump pans are available in increased capacity (7qt) but you may also look into a fox body pan, they are twin sump.
