Trial fitting. Should have the fenders painted today and installed this week.
The inner fenders and core support are already painted and ready for final install.

Damon, Yes they are repops. The core support and the inner fenders are also. This thing had some serious rust issues.

Got my fender undercoated today. Put the seat in and worked on the splash gaurd that goes behind the front bumper. I didn't get to paint. I will probably wait until next weekend for that.

I like the looks of that bedliner on your floor.I think you should have hit the battery acess cover to. jmho. course you won't see any of it once you get the floormat in or carpet whichever.

The battery access lid looks bad in the pic because it has a lot of dust and prints on it. It's painted gloss black. And you are right, it will be covered with a matt anyhow. I'm thinking about putting bed liner under the bottom side too. That would really seal everything up and make it a lot quieter too.

so to paint the outside cab do you leave the doors off and mask off the whole door jam area. Do you plan to paint the inside of the cab too, and what process will that be?strip it all back out?

Well Gregg, I'm basicly just getting the ole girl road worthy. The only reason I painted the inner fenders and core support is because I don't want to have to take that front apart again once it is put back together. I will also paint the new fenders and front panels since they are off the truck. I'm going to paint the rest of the truck as I work on it. For instance, Once I have a door done I will yank it off and paint it. When I finish the exterior of the cab I will tape the already paint panels and shoot it. It's going to be quite awhile until I have the dash ready for paint. There is going to be a time when the bed will come off just to replace the cab corners. Then the cab will be painted while the bed is off. I will probably paint the front panel of the bed while is is off. Then I can do the rest of the bed when time will allow it.
I'm getting closer to having it road worthy. I think I will take this weekend off to do some turkey hunting with my son and grandson.

Well, We went turkey hunting without success. But, It was about the quality time anyhow.
I got home and went straight to the garage and painted some parts. So I managed to get something done in the garage anyhow.

Finished painting the firewall. I managed to get a few runs in the clear but they will buff out. At least I know there is enough on it. Buffing is not one of my favorate things to do

Passenger door needs repaired.

Welded in patch and bondoed.

My brother worked on the tailgate while Carl did some wire work up front.

My son got her fired up and backed out.

Are those orbs?
