Size: LT 235/85 R16
Max, I can't buff the bed. The dang thing is in primer. It would be nice if I could though.
Hey Casey, I drove the truck out on the road tonight since I got it inspected and road legal. The end result is: I WEALLY WIKE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

235/85/r16 = 31.73" tall. looks good on your truck wyatt.

255/85/r16 = 33.07" tall. should look good on my truck with the wide opening fenders. being 85's they're not too wide either.

Well, I took Big Betty to the muffler shop today. I got the exhaust run out the back and turned down at the corner of the bed and bumper. If you look close, you can see the drivers side is already done.
They couldn't save my turbo mufflers I had on so they put a pair of glass packs on I took along. The old girl sounds bad ass now. Maybe a little too bad ass

. I got a feeling I'de better be careful with the rpms.
I also bought a bench seat out of a 88 Ford today to put in her. Wrong color but I'll cover that with a cover.
Still working on her even though she's road worthy.

Alan, Yes that hoist picks up under the axle housing. My son is a mechanic by trade an made the comment to me that, Boy, That's an old hoist. The two pieces under the rear move back and forth so they can position it where ever they want it.

Anthony, Your truck will be on the road real soon, the way you have been plugging away. Your truck has already passed mine as far as quality work and design. You have made some real nice improvements and upgrades on it.
Looks like your vacation has come to an end buddy. But you made great progress. Keep the pics coming. Looking forward to seeing it in Iowa.

I worked on my steering wheel today.

Cut a small piece out of a 1/2" pvc tube.

Used an all purpose pvc glue to hold the piece in place.

Cut to size and glued in and sanded down to make level.

Painted the wheel white and clear coated it and already installed. I like it

Here's a pic of the 88 seat I got yesterday. Will need to get a cover.

Tailgate needed some attention.

So I experimented a little. I sprayed a piece of cardboard with white paint and pressed it to the raised letters. Worked ok but not what I want. That's what's nice about a daily driver. I can play with it and drive it.

Why not try one of those 1" in diameter foam rollers that is about only 3" long? they seem pretty stiff and I think one of them might work?... (Wal-Mart paint dept.) keep us going Wyatt!!!
